omg omg omg omg

subtitle (or excerpt)
Bottom of the 9th.
I was listening to the radio broadcast, emitting random gaspy and woo-y sounds with my heart going thuddathuddathudda. The Boston.com recap is more than a little “just the facts, ma’am”; it doesn’t mention that a little bobble out in right turned a single into one of those doubles, and it doesn’t […]

top one way to tell you have a problem

subtitle (or excerpt)
When seeing 5:37 displayed on your digital clock in the very instant you wake up and open your eyes causes you to think “Oh, no, 37!? They were up 5 to nothing last time I checked the score!”

dayum, that’s harsh.
7 April 2007, 7:45 am
subtitle (or excerpt)
Curt Schilling’s assessment of his performance in the Sox’s season opener is almost painful to read. His candor would be striking even if he were less famous, but given his stature, I think it’s truly extraordinary. ‘Course, with his $13M base salary, he earned something north of half a mil that day.

book report: Barbara Hambly; Children of the Jedi
10 March 2007, 12:06 pm
subtitle (or excerpt)
I liked Timothy Zahn’s Star Wars novels a lot, even if they were a somewhat guilty pleasure. The back […]

as he was fascinate by the lady
3 February 2007, 4:16 pm
subtitle (or excerpt)
In a typical day, many dozen attempts are made to make bogus spammy comments on this site. Spammers try all sorts of tricks to get past the filtering software I have in place to stop them. One of the latest gimmicks is to include text that supposedly looks like real content, often in the form […]

words of wisdom from Jerry Trupiano
13 August 2006, 5:25 pm
subtitle (or excerpt)
Jerry and Joe, referring to a fan who ran onto the field at a game:
Joe: You have to wonder what these people are thinking. Sometimes you have to assume they’re not thinking.
Jerry: Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life.
