spielin’

Lord knows the Pathetic Caverns ain’t renowned for excessive timeliness, but my alter ego over dere and his (very) long-suffering editor knocked theyselfs out so they could deliver some reportage on the new movie about the Minutemen while my local-to-Boston-area readers actually have a chance to see it.
(If you’re not near Boston, don’t despair.)

See, it’s good you posted this, because these days I almost never go to any sites without being prompted by something popping up in my newsreader.

After the dubstress and I got back from We Jam Econo, I had a small memory that I wanted to verify. So I popped a DVD i picked up in NYC earlier this year; it’s a Thrill Jockey compilation of interviews with various music folks. I had correctly remembered the interview with James McNew of Yo La Tengo, where he credits seeing D. Boon made him realize that he could be a musician. What I didn’t remember was that the DVD also includes an interview with Mike Watt. Next time you’re over, we should pop it in.
