honestly, we find it somewhat taxing
7 October 2005, 8:32 am. . .to try to keep up with our friend Unremitting Failure, who generates approximately 4,113 posts a day. (We don’t quite understand how he remains gainfully employed.) We remain slightly bemused by some of his recurrent tropes (e.g., admiration of Manson, excoriation of Lennon, and a penchant for elaborate alternate histories of National Socialists and other authoritarian and/or dictatorial types). Worst of all, whenever Unremitting Failure refers to himself, he does so in the third personfirst person plural, a trait which we find dangerously habit-forming.
But even though we sometimes wish we could just sit down with the Very Best of “Unremitting Failure” coffee table book, we shake our heads in awe when he nails something like W’s “mad face” or the comprehensive and all-encompassing classification system for rock music.
Since when did you become royalty? :)
Count your blessings, Editrix; at least he’s not using the third person… :)
