Joe: You have to wonder what these people are thinking. Sometimes you have to assume they’re not thinking.
Jerry: Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life.

    That’s a quote from Animal House, entirely apropos in this case.

    Animal House is one of the holes in my cultural awareness. I had an ex-boss who liked to show me the scene where the guitar gets smashed (I play guitar), but that’s the only part I’ve ever seen.
