caffeine count
27 July 2007, 7:51 amWhat have I learned from this experiment? After 4 weeks of keeping track, I’m still very conscious of the need to make decisions that won’t lead to 6+ cup days. I’ve started alternating coffee with water in the morning to stretch out my caffeine allowance. Can’t rule out placebo effect, but I think I’ve been sleeping a little better (possibly with fewer nightmares, although last night’s trio, starting with the “I don’t know what we brung back, Momma, but it’s a biter,” dream, was a doozy), I feel less tic-y, and my digestion seems less tetchy. I don’t know what the pre-experiment baseline was, but I’m guessing 7 or 8 cups/weekday, somewhat less on weekends.

You know coffee prevents Parkinson’s disease, right?
It’s just really good for your brain….
