Green Green Cabs of Somerville
29 November 2007, 8:15 am
subtitle (or excerpt)
Yesterday I saw a hybrid cab operated by the Green Cab Association of Somerville. This is apparently old news, but I’d somehow missed it. I think it’s a great idea — the combination of high use and mostly in-town driving seems like an excellent match for hybrid engines.
My wunnerful girlfriend and I are sort of […]

bad dream light

subtitle (or excerpt)
It wasn’t until I saw Richard Linklater’s Waking Life that I realized other people also had dreams in which they try to turn on light switches, and the scene fails to brighten. Being unable to shed literal light on the situation has been an attribute of my nightmares for as long as I can remember, […]

OMG I have to remember this dream so i can talk/write about it later.
No, that whole thing about having to fill in a timesheet after a dinner party isn’t really that interesting.

Wait, it’s Saturday, isn’t it? i don’t have to get up.

Last I night I had a dream in which I was being haunted by the ghosts of (among others) John Lydon and Iggy Pop.

This gave me some real pause. I find it very useful to have a physical book that doesn’t take up monitor space. On the other […]

T-shirts unchronicled (1)

subtitle (or excerpt)
I think I saw Echo & the Bunnymen only once*, touring Songs to Learn and Sing. I remember very little of the show — it was at GWU’s Smith Center, parking was hellacious, and if there was an opener, I think we missed it. An intense rendition of “Over the Wall” was a highlight. I […]
